Teign Consulting is an independent firm of Chartered Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers with a wealth of experience in providing services to the finance and construction industries. From strategically placed offices in the south of England, we cover all aspects of cost consultancy, project management and CDM services for a wide range of building projects across the South West.
We have a proven track record in delivering schemes across a range of sectors, including commercial, residential, retail, education and healthcare. Our highly experienced team will guide you through the development of your project, working with you to oversee all the key stages to bring your project to completion within budget and on time.

Andy Johns BSc (Hons) PGDip (Surv)
Andy is an experienced development manager, employer’s agent and fund monitor with over 20 year’s experience within numerous sectors. Recently Andy has acted on schemes ranging from £500k to £25m with a mixture of student accommodation, residential and commercial projects including large mixed use developments. Andy also heads up our Construction Management arm and specialises in Cost Recovery schemes. In his downtime Andy is likely to be found renovating old houses, chasing round after two busy teenagers, or, if its windy, in the sea kitesurfing.

Andy Leo MRICS
Andy is a highly experienced chartered Surveyor with almost 30 years experience working across many sectors. Andy specialises in the provision of due diligence services to financial institutions, contractual advice and contract management and has a detailed knowledge of student accommodation projects and various forms of procurement. Andy has worked for sub-contractors, main contractors, professional consultants and developers, which has provided him with a wide perspective of the construction industry. In his spare time Andy enjoys snowboarding, paddleboarding with his wife, mountain biking, gardening and cooking.

Scott Hayward BSc (Hons) DipSurvPract
Scott is an experienced Quantity Surveyor currently working towards attaining his chartered membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Chartered Institute of Building. Scott excels in pre and post contract cost management as well as fund monitoring. With experience in student accommodation, assisted living, commercial, retail & housing association projects ranging from £200k – £12m. Outside of work, Scott likes to play squash, spend time with his family and walk his dog.

Melissa Johns BSc (Hons)
Melissa has over 10 year’s experience as a Surveyor working on a broad range of projects for several well-known finance providers. Melissa specialises in cost planning and procurement and assists the team with estimating and fund monitoring. In her free time, Melissa can usually be found with her family at the beach, dog walking or riding her horse.
